Through our owner and broker network we work across handysize, supramax, ultramax and panamax tonnage for dry cargo, plus small and medium tankers for liquid parcels. The right size is a function of cargo tonnage, port draft and discharge rate, and we advise on that before offers go out.
A voyage charter suits a single parcel — you pay freight for that lift and the owner carries the operating risk. A time charter makes sense when you have a repeating programme and want control of the ship's employment for a period. We model both against your cargo plan before you commit.
Laytime terms are agreed in the charter party up front. During the call we track notice of readiness, laytime commencement and actual load or discharge rates through the agent, then prepare the laytime calculation and settle demurrage or despatch against the statement of facts.
Dry bulk such as coal, ore, clinker and fertilizer, breakbulk including steel and bagged cargo, project and over-dimensional consignments, and liquid parcels in tankers or ISO tanks. Cargo particulars and any special stowage needs are declared to owners before fixing.
We fix on the open charter market, so scope follows the cargo rather than a fixed route list. Our most active coordination is on India-linked lanes to and from the Middle East, South-East Asia, Africa and Europe, arranged through partner agents at each port.
