GOVERNANCE

Certifications & standards we align with.

Petrobulk Global Trades Pvt. Ltd. is a young company with experienced people. Rather than claim accreditations we do not yet hold, we set out plainly the standards we work to, the registrations we hold, and the practices that govern how we handle cargo and counterparties.

  • ISO 9001 quality principles

Committed — working to the principles

Our operating procedures for enquiry handling, documentation control, supplier selection and non-conformance follow ISO 9001:2015 quality-management principles. Every shipment file carries a single owner, a documented checklist and a post-delivery review.

  • IMO conventions & the IMSBC Code

    Applied on every fixture

Cargoes are declared, documented and stowed in line with IMO instruments — SOLAS, MARPOL and the IMSBC Code for solid bulk cargoes, including transportable moisture limit certification where liquefaction risk applies. Tanker parcels follow MARPOL Annex I and II requirements for the grade carried.

  • DGFT / EXIM compliance

    Registered and current

Import and export activity is conducted under India's Foreign Trade Policy, with filings made through ICEGATE and classification, valuation and preferential-origin claims supported by documentation retained for audit under CAROTAR.

  • Importer Exporter Code (IEC)

Held by Petrobulk Global Trades Pvt. Ltd.

A valid IEC issued by the DGFT underpins our cross-border trading and forwarding activity. Corporate identity: CIN U35202DC2026PTC471777.

  • GST registration

    Active

All domestic services are invoiced under an active GST registration, with correct place-of-supply treatment for ocean, air and inland freight and for services rendered to overseas principals.

  • Ethical trade & sanctions screening

    Policy in force

Counterparties, vessels and cargo origins are screened against applicable sanctions regimes before a fixture or booking is confirmed. We operate an anti-bribery position, refuse facilitation payments, and decline business where beneficial ownership cannot be established.

How this shows up in practice

Standards only matter if they change what happens on a working day. These are the controls applied to every enquiry we accept.

  • Know-your-counterparty checks on every new buyer, seller, owner and agent.
  • Vessel screening for age, class, P&I cover and sanctions exposure before recommending tonnage.
  • Independent surveyors appointed for quantity and quality at load and discharge where the contract requires it.
  • Cargo insurance placed on Institute Cargo Clauses appropriate to the commodity, not a default minimum.
  • Document retention for statutory periods, with an auditable trail per shipment file.
  • Written escalation path for claims, shortages and demurrage disputes.
